»Legal Protection of the Individual Versus Extradition Obligations Under International Law. Constitutional Rights in the Extradition Proceedings of Germany as an EU Member State with third States by the Example of the USA«This thesis examines the legal protection of an individual in Germany's extradition proceedings with third states. The extradition treaties with the USA only contain limited grounds for refusal. This leads to a conflict of extradition obligations to the USA and the individual rights of the person who is to be extradited. In favor of the EU's constitutional rights the author drafts a ground for refusal that should be included in extradition treaties of the EU and third states.
