Beskrivelse
Yoshi writes, with the aid of a scribe, to describe the sights, sounds, and smells of his life as a young, devout Jewish shepherd who loved his sheep and desired to emulate his hero, King David. No one, especially Yoshi, would have thought such a supposed insignificant person would be the narrator to such a glorious story! Like a splendid jewel, history gains appreciation when viewed from different perspectives with each facet providing greater depth.
Although Yoshi of Bethlehem is a fictional character, his story fleshes out life in first century Israel while being careful not to contradict the history of the Scriptures. Yoshi will become someone you think of when you read Luke 2:8, “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.”
