Denne bog fangede mig fuldstændig! Den var lige så god som dens forgænger. Der er spænding fra start til slut, og man keder sig aldrig. Denne serie fortjener langt mere opmærksomhed end den får!

QUOTE: “I look up to say something but he puts his finger to my lips and whispers, “Don’t talk. You’ll just spoil my fantasy of rescuing an innocent damsel in distress as soon as you open your mouth.” I love this book, and the entire series *happy sigh*. This is the second time I'm reading World After, after having read 'End of Days' and realized that I wasn't ready to let go of Penryn and Raffe yet .. and who can blame me? They are awesome. This book picks up right after where Angelfall left us. The Resistance has blown up the aerie, Raffe thinks Penryn is dead and has left her with her family. Penryn is just trying to survive and keep her family together, but that isn't easy in the World After. QUOTE: “It’s amazing how many times we need to go against our survival instincts to survive.” To be honest, this is the book in the series that I like least - I still love it, but not as much as the first and the last book - and why you may ask? Raffe isn't in 70 % of the book!! That is just wrong on so many levels. And really it's only a couple of days (I think) that Raffe and Penryn are apart, but so much happens during the days in these books, so a couple of days easily take up most of the book. But of course I love the book. I love all the characters, even the ones we hate (Uri for example), I love the world, I LOVE Penryn, I love the writing, I love the pace and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Raffe. Everything is perfect. And I also really like that though we haven't been given all the answers, I don't feel clueless and left in the dark. So no frustrating moments for me while reading this book. QUOTE: “He is the one pocket of warmth in a sea of ice. Being in his arms feels like the home I never had.” Now to the most important part. Raffe and Penryn. Their 'relationship' is to die for and turns me into a squealing fangirl. It has truly been amazing to see Raffe and Penryn connecting (slowly!), and it's so believable too. They are supposed to be enemies, so it wouldn't make sense if they fell head over heels in love with each other from the moment they met. Instead they are getting to know each other slowly and beginning to realize that maybe all angels/humans aren't bad. And in this book they truly began connecting - it's not really love yet, but it darn cute anyway. And it's really the small things. It's the fact that Penryn obviously feels something for Raffe, but she doesn't even completely realize it yet. It's the fact that Raffe is protective of Penryn even though he won't ever admit why. And it's that they have each others' backs, no questions asked. It's so heartwarming. I love this book, and I think everybody should read it and love it .. because, how could you NOT love it? There isn't anything not to like. So just give it a shot. I was very wary of the whole 'apocalypse' thing in the beginning too, but it turned out I had nothing to worry about. So just get going. QUOTE: “I stroke his hair and repeat the words of comfort he whispered to me the last time we were together. "Shhh," I say. "I'm here. I'm right here.”
