    Most people who know me well would likely be saying, that in general I´m coming across as fairly skeptical as to the value and motives of the high-profile management gurus of this world, often claiming fame by asking you to show them your watch and in return they will let you know what time it is - expecting a huge applause as well as charging you a significant fee.  Now, here comes the ever so invigorating exception and thus it carries my undiluted and wholehearted recommendation: Lars H Nielsen has now published an English version of his much-acclaimed book from last year: WIN the Strategy Execution.  In this book, Lars generously shares a large number of powerful to-dos and not-to-dos, if you really want to become successful in your strategy execution. The book offers some clear guidance and some well-founded observations as well as recommendations - all based on his more than 30 years of own experience from the very top-elite within business and sports.  The language used in this book is remarkably refreshing and shows a clear no-nonsense approach to this often somewhat sensitive and challenging theme within any leadership role and across industries, private or public: How do you procure that all important transition from sleek PowerPoint presentation to a fully implemented strategy, that all stakeholders not only comprehend but even more importantly also live by and nourish every day. In this book, which I have now read twice, you are presented to three very interesting cases: Banking, Marketing and Public Health Service. While hugely different animals, they do share one thing in common: How do they successfully implement their strategies - something even the best companies and organisations often struggle with, leaving them realizing, after only a few months, that, irrespective of the good and sound thinking behind any strategy, nothing really changed, and the initiative died ever so silently. Costly, demotivating and ultimately threatening the viability and long-term prospect of any company or organisation. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to buy Lars H Nielsen’s book. Read it - and then read it again. Share it with your good colleagues within management. Share it with your staff allowing also these important people to get a proper understanding of how important a good and viable execution is. Not just for the company but also for them and their future. You might even share the book with your fellow board members.  Once you have read the book (twice) don’t simply put it aside. You are nowhere near done yet. Instead, I would suggest you consider this book your new and very powerful tool - a source of inspiration and encouragement, even on the grey days where things might look a bit too difficult.  If you follow my above guidance, you can rest assured that you are on the right path as well as a lot closer to become successful in winning the strategy execution
