Why Democrat?

Black people may disagree on many things, but on one subject we are astoundingly unified: which political party to vote for. Black Americans overwhelmingly vote for Democrats. Why? Do Democrats care more for Black people than Republicans? Have Democrats fixed the problems facing Black communities?
