Who Does God Think He Is, Anyway?

Communication is the bond that connects two humans together in relationship. On a broader scale, it is also the way in which churches, governments collide or connect with each other. When two persons meet, the conventional wisdom goes like this: what is your name and what do you do? Pleasantries? Formalities? Yes, but more than that, much more. A name contains who I am, and that I am. My occupation tells of my worth, my status, my importance. Sharing names and occupations is a primitive attempt at bonding. We meet many people in our life, and often go on our way with no type of relationship. We share what is deepest in us with only a very few, select friends, one of whom may be our spouse. Using this framework of relationships, God has introduced himself to us in a way we can understand. He gave us his name? Why? Some of us take notice of it and pass on. Some of us will realize the opportunity and establish a link with God through spirituality. Some of us will listen to God and share in the secrets of the Master. Read Matthew 13:1-23. Relationship with God produces energy, pure energy. Not only that, discovering relationship opens the door to spirituality, which in turn allows us to touch the mind of God. As you read these thoughts, mingle them with your own. Let these reflections cascade throughout your spirit, opening door that were hitherto rusted shut. Let God speak to you, but be ready to accept the answer about who God is from God. Who Does God Think He Is, Anyway? God? God indeed, and more than you could ever possibly imagine.
