After Tara Barrett inherits an historical house with a writing room from her aunt, she discovers an old manual typewriter-the kind with keys that slap against the paper and get jammed up far too easily. When she begins to receive messages through the typewriter... from the past... she sets out to discover just who could be writing them.



Prolific pulp writer Nathaniel Montgomery, the original owner of the old typewriter... living in 1918... also receives messages through the typewriter. But his are from the future. He soon discovers that his mysterious pen pal is a woman from the future. Even though they would never meet, he cannot stop thinking about her.



They are from two different centuries, worlds apart, but they are perfect kindred spirits. Unfortunately, Tara learns too late that the choice she makes only comes around one time. By the time she learns that she made the wrong choice, the door already closed.
