Where There's Smoke, There's Trouble

Widow Gwen Andrews' best friend Liz is livid when a stranger opens a cigar bar next to her bookshop. The acrid blue smoke is leaking through the ceiling tiles, tainting Liz's inventory and keeping customers away. The bar owner refuses a filtering system, adding fuel to Liz's anger. After a small fire damages both businesses, someone attacks the man and frames Liz for the crime. Gwen steps back into her role as sleuth to prove Liz innocent. To complicate matters, the rancid cigar smoke not only resurrects disturbing memories of pre-teen abuse, but threatens Gwen's budding romance as well. A hostile police chief, a psychic, and a familiar ghost each play a part as Gwen inches ever closer toward an unexpected and potentially deadly confrontation.
