Beskrivelse
Born in a dysfunctional family with abusive parents, Samuel Castillo is a mistreated and bullied kid, both at home and in school. He has no friends, and the only person kind to him is his sister, who works hard to save enough money to take him and run far away from their family. There isn't much in the shy and sensitive Sam's life to look up to, as he lives in the constant fear of the real world. After a long and tiring day, when Sam goes up to his room to have a good night's sleep, an unexpected earthquake forces him to hide under the bed. After the floor stops trembling, he carefully crawls out and finds himself in a fantastical place that he calls "Dream World." While the experiences in Dream World enthrall Sam, he continues to struggle in the real world. There are nights when Sam cries himself to sleep but is immediately reawakened in the enchanting world where he learns important lessons of life and meets fascinating people who are kind to him. These casual visits seem to go well, making Sam look forward to them whenever he falls asleep at night until one day, he comes face to face with a threat that forces him to choose between life and death.
