When Everything Was Possible

From hiking the Long Trail in Vermont to working at a goat farm and for an artisanal cheese maker, the novel follows the intuitive wanderings of a twenty-two-year old Anna. Seeking an alternative to the traditional, she sets about to redefine life, deliberating as much on the natural world as she does the peculiar philosophies of a hermit cheese maker. Matched to her journey is a young man, who possesses an equal amount of creativity and deliberation about inventing one's life with purpose. Told in three parts: her brief realtionship with nomadicism, On the Trail; her time of studying settlement, On the Farm; and lastly, The Companion, where the landscape, creativity, friendship and love blend together and become the contours of the life she is beginning to shape.
