What Remains of White Sands

Fourteen-year-old vampire Ide Noapte is being suffocated by her small town of Naturalleies. Nothing exciting ever happens there, and she hates being in the presence of the same people every day-especially those who bring up bad memories. Ide and her parents can't seem to get along, and constantly running into her ex-boyfriend becomes more painful by the day. This is why Ide is almost glad when her archenemy Konner Skipper approaches her with a plan: to go to the beach for the summer. But first, they have to get their parents to agree to the plan, which might be harder than they thought. Meanwhile, Ide has to keep a huge secret revealed to her by Konner-a secret that could destroy the perfect facade of Naturalleies. Relatives Ide never knew she had show up at her house, and Ide finds herself strangely drawn to her cousin Eldric, who, like Ide, is a vampire. But is everything what it seems, or is Eldric hiding something too?
