To find a kidnapped child, a police detective with a hidden past must step into the spotlight-and into the crosshairs. Her new colleagues in Manchester don't know about her dark past and the real reason she left London-and she plans to keep it that way. But when the two-year-old daughter of a wealthy executive is abducted, Jan is torn.
