Beskrivelse
On the eve of the Albigensian Crusade, a Crusade fought on the very earth of Christian Europe against fellow Christians, a small remnant of Starflower's descendants tries desperately to preserve the Way, Its Tenets and Teachings as they have been handed down to them through generations. Amidst people who seem to have gone blind to the beauty of Nature, who have demonized the Father and utterly suppressed even the memory of the Mother, they hold on and continue to serve. The fights between Europe's rulers, crowned or mitred, over power, influence and supremacy, between Orthodoxy and Reformators, between Christians of different kinds, threaten to drag them under, reducing them to collateral damage of the power struggles, like so many of the common folk. The task falls to a young woman to find a path for her people to follow, a Way that will preserve their unique heritage and their lives.
