The quest is clear: find and destroy the Key to the Forever. Vivian and Zee have a plan - coerce Vivian's former lover into revealing what his dream self did with the Key, and then keep it safe until they can figure out how to destroy it.



But the Dragon Queen, Aidan, also wants the Key, and she's had a thousand years to hone her power and perfect a devious scheme to destroy the dreamworlds. All she needs is the Key, and the moment Vivian finds it Aidan launches a vicious attack that leaves Zee wounded in the Between and Vivian locked into Wakeworld unable to reach him.



With Aidan's power barring all doors to the dreamworlds and the Between against her, Vivian joins forces with a rogue Dreamshifter, hoping that together they will be strong enough to counter Aidan. But Vivian's inner dragon is struggling to break free and she will need to confront her own darkest desires and powers before she and Zee can even hope to save the worlds - if they don't destroy each other first.
