First, you traverse The Graveyard Shift of the convenience store industry. We meet those nameless individuals who haunt the wee hours, with their tales of hilarity and naughtiness, interspersed with a scattering of heartwarming wildflowers.

Next the reader is thrust into the challenging life of a caregiver. The wildflowers in these weeds show up unexpectedly. Who knew that balloons could be so therapeutic? What is the deal with mustaches and hair? Or that the Willie Nelson song, "And I woke up still not dead again today" could give such delight? And then there are the tales from visits to the VA with unique and sometimes bizarre characters. A deep dive into how to find and give a loved one joy at the end of life's voyage.
