On a road trip through France and Spain with friends, Martin looks back on his life as a Yorkshire vicar and re-evaluates his career and his marriage. Ever since serving in Normandy he has had a horror of conflict and chaos, but has what he thought of as peace-making within his family really just been cowardice?
