Shinjiru had always struggled to find his place in the world. Born Japanese, but raised in the Hindu faith, he'd always felt like he didn't quite fit in anywhere. A job at the convenience store, college classes, worshiping at the temple, helping his parents, playing video games... His life was full, but what was it leading to? What was God's plan for his life?

When he wakes up in a fantasy world straight out his favorite role playing games, Shinjiru finds himself in a battle for survival. With the help of a plucky shopkeeper, an irrepressible earth fairy and a reckless sorceress, Shinjiru must find a way to turn the tide against an invasion of self perpetuating monsters that will consume civilization and the world itself.

The Hindu mantra Shinjiru relies on, Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya, is the key to protecting the people he loves and finding out God's purpose for him in this wondrous new world.
