Virginia Vital Records, from the Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, the William and Mary College Quarterly, and Tyler's Quarterly

This is essentially a collection of articles containing lists of births, marriages, and deaths. It comprises virtually everything in the way of vital records ever published in the three leading Virginia periodicals and bears reference to some 20,000 persons. Articles range from brief abstracts of individual documents to transcriptions of entire files. They constitute the best efforts of an army of researchers and provide, in the aggregate, one of the largest repositories of Virginia source materials ever seen. The counties represented here include Accomac, Albemarle, Augusta, Caroline, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Fairfax, Fincastle, Gloucester, Goochland, Greensville, Hanover, Henrico, Richmond (City), Isle of Wight, James City, Williamsburg (City), King George, King & Queen, Lancaster, Louisa, Madison, Mathews, Mecklenburg, Middlesex, Nelson, New Kent, Norfolk, Norfolk (City), Northampton, Northumberland, Orange, Pittsylvania, Prince George, Prince William, Richmond, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Surry, Sussex, and Westmoreland. Also included is an Appendix of vital record articles pertaining to more than one Virginia county and to Virginians buried in other states, as well as a collection of Bible Records.
