Jewish men, women, and children are herded into overcrowded ghettos to await their murder at nearby Ponary Forest. But not all of them are willing to go quietly into that darkness. Unable to match the Nazi war machine on the open battlefield, clandestine resistance groups are formed to wage a covert guerilla war instilling fear in the heart of the fascists, ultimately leading to their destruction. After nearly four years of brutal oppression and murdering of innocent people is over, Jewish partisans like Moshe and Gabik finally exact revenge.
