Beskrivelse
As an artificial birth, Dalton Anderson has already been branded, but now he has a target on his back too. United Trace Z3T is a city under a large concrete dome. The air outside the Safe Ways and buildings is deadly. Dalton lives in a roach-infested apartment and can barely scrape up enough money to buy a decent holo-screen. He was born of an artificial womb and was part of an experiment that was terminated shortly after his birth. The results of the experiment had led to deformities in its subjects. Branded by his status as an artificial birth, Dalton is deemed qualified for only one occupation. Tasked with city filer clean-up, it is Dalton's job to maintain the filters so the noxious air is kept out of the habitable parts of the city. One day on the job, Dalton discovers there are tunnels under the city, tunnels that could lead to a way out. Now, Dalton must set his personal problems aside, including a clingy ex-girlfriend. The people of United Trace need him, although they could have never guessed they would.
