Two Steps from Heaven

Sentenced to Purgatory until he has atoned for his sins, Nate finds himself in a world of violence and vice from which there is no escape. Under the tutelage of a former Roman legionary named Marcus, Nate prepares for an eternity defending the realm of Tinelia from the monstrous creatures that roam the lands of the dead.

Yet nightmarish creatures are not the only dangers that lurk in the shadows. Far away is the mighty Imperium. Led by an emperor who claims to be chosen by God. Chosen to rule over all the souls of the dead, and he is hard at work. Devising a plan which would forever change the delicate balance of power that preserves peace by a thread.

It is up to Nate, Marcus, and their companions to bring this conspiracy to light and end the Emperor's plan before it can begin. But is all as it seems, and will their actions preserve peace or set their fragile world alight in the fires of war?
