True North

A season of my life was lived as an Infantry officer in the United States Army. In the Airborne Infantry to be exact. And one of the critical skills all Infantrymen are required to master is navigation, which is finding your way around a landscape using a map and a compass, and sometimes only a compass, or at the very least navigating by the stars, amongst which is a navigational standard, the North Star. When I first became a Christian, that is a follower of Jesus Christ, I quickly discovered that without a moral compass, there is no way to find Truth. The Bible is that moral compass, and I talk about that Book, the Word of God, throughout this work. It is the most important book you will ever read or share.True North is how we orient The Way to Truth. This was so from the beginning, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And as Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." He also said, "I and my Father are one."To be without a moral compass, and not knowing where True North lies, is to be without a godly conscience. And it means you are without Truth or The Way out of a life of sin. This is a book about finding that moral compass, and knowing True North, and once having both, setting off on a path out of Sodom.
