En underholdende bog om matematik! Bogen er opdelt i selvstændige kapitler, hvis emner hovedsageligt hentes fra matematikkens historie, udvalgte problemer, biografier af matematikere m.m. Bogen er for dem der føler glæde ved at beskæftige sig matematik og læse om matematikkens historie. Den er ikke for dem der har brug for en lærebog i trigonometri - men man lærer en masse undervejs. Der er dele af bogen der vil være svære at følge, om ikke andet så fordi man sidder træt i et tætpakket tog på vej hjem fra arbejde, men bogen er så velskrevet at man kan gå let over disse afsnit, uden at miste tråden i fortællingen.
