Travels with my paintbrush

This book is a pictorial record of some of the author's travels to various places that excited her interest. It contains images of paintings that were inspired by her travels and others that were painted just because of the sheer beauty of the subjects. Her aim is to evoke pleasure by capturing the natural loveliness of our surroundings. The author's interest in art partly dictated her primary career choice - as a pathologist, examining beautifully stained cells and tissues under the microscope. Now she is a full-time artist, painting mostly in oils, her style being somewhat impressionistic, using bright colours and lots of paint.
