A daycare centre was established for children, and garbage was converted into manure to improve hygiene. She also implemented a grievance-redressal system through mobile petition boxes and launched the Tihar Bakery to generate welfare funds.

Dr. Bedi¿s work transformed Tihar into a global model of collective, corrective and community-based policing, proving that reformation is possible with visionary leadership and compassion.
