Designmuseum Denmark is home to a large collection of ceramic works that is quite unique in terms of size and width of representation, since the collection covers all known techniques within the main groups of earthenware, stoneware, tin-glazed earthenware, and porcelain as well as new hybrid materials and techniques. This catalogue covers an extremely important period in the history of European glazed ceramic ware from c. 1600 to 1800 when the technique enjoyed the widest distribution.
