They called it love

The story follows a year in the life of a man named Tom Novellus (includes sexual content, therefore, reader discretion advised). Tom contemplated suicide daily as a way to escape the ever pervading torment of his overbearing mother and aggressive father in his mind. To avoid suicide, he was desperate for the chance of a new life; what he thought of as a new beginning. Therefore, he moved to a new city to give himself one last chance of finding a new career, new friends and a loving partner. However, he entered into a romance with a woman named Rachel who he was completely psychologically and emotionally ill-equipped to deal with. Their relationship became so destructive that it threatened his chance for a new beginning, and even his life.
