The Zen of Yuki

This is the true story of Yuki, a Japanese Chin, and Bonnie Jae Dane, a fifty-something woman, who is struggling to find her own place in life and Spirit. As the story unfolds, we learn, along with Dane, of Yuki's remarkable abilities. These include drawing other animals to him and giving comfort and healing. We also learn of Yuki's passionate quest to find his own Spiritual Teacher and to advance his spiritual knowledge and purpose in this lifetime. An animal communicator helps Dane understand the extent of her dog's gifts and his own need for a 'special purpose' and to be seen as 'sweet and precious with a heart of gold'. Their conversations prove to be an illuminating look into a dog's spiritual life and his need to continue his own journey toward enlightenment. Through Dane's narrative and the lessons she learns from Yuki, we also see what it's like to be a bright, witty, perceptive, and irreverent seeker of spiritual meaning in contemporary America.
