The Wyoming Plot

Sabrina Adams is young, smart, and attractive, and she may be the best community organizer her age in the country. But it's a low-paying profession and struggles financially. To make matters worse, funding for her current position is drying up, and a stalker with an AR-15 threatens to kill her.

An obscure organization makes Sabrina a tantalizing offer, but the position is in far off Wyoming, where the organization has built a new city and plans to populate it mainly with homeless and near homeless. Helping those in need is a good thing, but why Wyoming, where the weather can be brutal? Sabrina suspects a hidden agenda.

As political and cultural wars threaten to rip the country apart, Wyoming remains a bastion of conservatism and Republicanism. The "invasion" of homeless people angers many long-time residents. Their hostility threatens to crush the efforts to secure safe housing, jobs, and meaningful lives for the new city's residents.

If Sabrina accepts the offer, she will need to rally the new residents to defend the good the project is accomplishing. It would be a high-profile, high-stakes job-exactly the sort of exposure that might prompt her stalker to follow her to Wyoming and fulfill his promise to kill her.
