Beskrivelse
This story is a culmination of two families fighting to keep the law. Toby Woods and his brother-in-law, Clay Walker, fight hard against the lawlessness around the Payette River Valley. While on a mustang roundup, Clay and the love of his life, Anissa Parks, discovered a new gold field in the Owyhee Canyonland. Anissa was sent off to finishing school in Virginia. Clay, along with the help from the Woods and Parkers, extract the gold on his claim. Greedy ranchers stir up a war with the Nez Perce Indians that lead to their devastation when the governor calls on General Sherman to intervene. Young Clay learns that he wants to become a lawmaker and decided to go back east to Princeton University to study law and be closer to Anissa.
