The Ways of the Wolves

I remember running, running through the forests and the cold snow that hit my back, my white fur being embraced by the rough branches as I run in search of something new, in search of a home. I love being able to run, I embrace my love of running; I accept it and I love it. I am who I am, I am what I am. What am I? I am a spirit wolf, I am not immortal but I do heal faster, my senses like a wolf are heightened. I can hear, see, smell and taste things better than your average human and I am more sensitive to touch and I can easily feel when someone is around me. I like the forests, the trees especially in the snow. I live in the woods and I hide in them or at least I did until I saw them... my first glimpse of humans with a large metal barrel of some kind. The last thing I heard was two bangs and yelps before I ran, ran as fast as I could and hid. It was there I became human without being able to speak a word of the human language... it was then I had my first glimpse of humans.
