Beskrivelse
1400 years ago, an entire Indian Tribe vanished from the face of the earth. They left behind their personal belongings, their tools and their homes. This Tribe was a sophisticated culture that had town officials, three story hotels and arenas for baseball games. They were predominately farmers. Today our farmers still use many of the irrigation canals the Hohokam built. The word Hohokam translates to The Vanished People. Today Archeologist can provide speculative theories but no one really knows where they vanished to. Sandra Lee has written a Fantasy novel around this historical mystery, that will capture the imagination of both young and old. The Characters: David, Toto, Sandy and Jason are a little like all of us when we were growing up. The excitement and adventure of being young stands in dark contrast to what we read about in the newspapers and see on TV. It does not matter who you are, or what the circumstances you have grown up in, you will relate to this novel. When four kids are able to solve a mystery that occurred 1400 years ago, it comes at a price, and the four teenage characters are forced to do battle with the Muks, giant gargoyle like creatures and their giant pet worms, the guardians. This book is about friendships, character, intelligence and bravery, but most of all, it is about Adventure.
