The Theatrics of Time: Re-Visiting Performance in Haunting Fields of Archaeological Discourse

Is there an entanglement between material culture, social practices, and haunting phenomena? Does this create a particular archaeological discourse at certain haunted locations? This book explores those questions, asserting that a relationality between material dependence and social practice dependencies can create a specific kind of haunting on American Civil War battlefields that requires a particular form of 'excavation' to 'unearth' this haunting presence.
