The Successor

Even a ruler as powerful as Elizabeth Shaw cannot prevent the coming apocalypse on her own. This is why she has called on the magic of the ancients, summoning Earth's Protectors to Mont Saint-Michel in the middle of the storm of the century. She hopes to enlist them in a plan to stop her pathologically ambitious younger brother, Aedan, from destroying them all. With each passing hour, Aedan's powers grow and his forces gather. Soon he will be unstoppable, having all he needs to enslave Earth's inhabitants through a diabolical combination of magic and technology. Elizabeth and the Protectors have only one hope for stopping him: They must find Elizabeth's successor before Aedan does. Only the successor can prevent the coming disaster.
