The Step-In Father

Marriage is the highest honor that any of us can have. I say this because God is married to Israel, while Jesus is married to the Church. However, we have prostituted our spiritual bodies for a ten-second moment of physical pleasure. Life is all about self, that demon, that anti-Christ no one is willing to put to death, our flesh. I am asking every man who is contemplating marriage, remarriage, to take some time out with your helpmeet, and read what's inside together. Seriously explore what God is saying to each of you collectively and individually, and talk openly (without judgment) about your thoughts, concerns, concepts, fears, and ideas about how a godly blended family dynamic should look. Trust me, both of you came into your relationship assuming that the other party was on the same page as you. Neither of you considered God's plan first. Now close that book that you have written in your mind, enter into this book, and begin to write a new script together in the image of God. Remember, sir, you are not replacing their father (or even your wife's), you are daily presenting your whole household to the Father you serve in heaven. Walk with God.
