The Spirit's Work

From the cradle to the grave, as the saying goes. For the believer, however, this does not do justice to what Scripture teaches - which is from eternity past to eternity to come.

To put it another way. A sinner is converted, what happens next? What does this convert look forward to? A life of... what? Eventually, after death, going to heaven?

Or is there something more?

The subtitle of David Gay's book tells you what he understands the Bible teaches about the life of the believer: Regeneration - Transformation - Glorification.

Another thing. The title, 'The Spirit's Work', speaks of the way the triune God accomplishes the salvation of the elect - Regeneration - Transformation - Glorification.

To explore these major themes, Gay has published what is almost certainly his final book. Note his use of 'major'. The themes under discussion are of supreme importance and merit the serious consideration of every believer.
