The Skein of Your Life Was Woven Long Ago

For Lukas and the men that followed him, the small compact dirty bombs smuggled across the US southern border on the backs of illegals was just the beginning of the groups nightmare. In the past when Lukas and his group faced bad food, bad water and really bad odds on some foreign battlefield, some black ops mission, there had always been the security blanked of the USA. No matter how beat up his group found themselves at the end of their covert assignments they could head home for some R&R. At home they could lick their wounds, resupply and regroup. That option had been ripped from them because home, their beloved USA, was turning into a battlefield. Now it was a race against time to save his men and to secure their future. Oddly enough the man who had sent them into harm's way over and over again might provide the key to their salvation. Roaring across country on I-80 Lukas and his men raced the clock. He was determined that nothing and no one would keep him from his goal, a secret base that might hold the groups salvation. Lukas wasn't averse to saving a few others along the way but they better not slow him down or threaten the stability of his command. Cause him problems and they would be lucky to be left standing on the side of the road.
