What would it be like to live in colonial America during the time of the Great Awakening in the 1740s? And what would it be like for a girl born in Boston to be courted by a man from a different cultural background? John Russell and Abigail Williams are both challenged by the influence of George Whitefield's preaching, but in different ways.
