The Sea Turtle and the Pilot Fish

Come join Kai, the pilot fish, as he takes his friends Honu, the sea turtle, and Shelby, the fish, to meet his friend Mimi. Their adventure begins when they see someone dumping trash off a boat in the ocean.



This book is based on real events that happened in Florida recently. Honu the sea turtle character is based on a real sea turtle who lives on the local artificial reef. Young children will learn about the harm that can come to oceans and animals when trash is dumped there, as well as facts about sea turtles.



At the end there is a fun interactive game you and your little readers can do together. Also there are some ideas about how to reduce the amount of plastics that make their way into our oceans and waterways.
