Teenage adventurers Annie, Oliver, and Ryan travel across time and space to visit the Roman Empire. They begin their fantastic journey in Pompeii shortly before the volcano Vesuvius erupts. They are nearly trapped in Pompeii thanks to the conniving Senator Lucius. Upon their escape they travel to Constantinople, the wealthy eastern capital of the empire. Finally, they journey to Carthage to witness an epic battle to recapture what remains of the western empire and to restore the glory of Rome. Along the way, the trio learns about Roman history and culture, witnessing both its grandeur and decay. This is a thrilling, fast-paced story that entertains and teaches.
