Three teens find themselves in their first year at New Haven Military Academy.

Taj, an earthbender from the coast of Erdu, has had his home destroyed by a tsunami, and with nowhere left to go, he's conscripted to the military. But scores high enough to avoid frontline service. Instead, he finds himself on a team with Kira, an airbender from La Vida, Naka, whose parents did everything possible to get her into the Academy. And Jasmine, an etherbender from New Haven, Erdu, who simply wanted to get closer to her father. But no one can know who her father is, or it most cost her her life.

There has never been greater turmoil, war, persecution, and anarchy in Erdu under the leadership of the young, untested Lord Commissioner of the Regulator Regime. The teens will face death or puberty, surviving Erdu in this young adult sci-fi fantasy series. That's if training with the world's strongest man doesn't kill them first.
