Katie and Emma Grimsley survived years of abuse at the hands of their stepfather while many people simply looked the other way. Their stepfather was in the military, and his career was much more important than protecting the girls from the things they endured at home. Katie provides an intimate look into the life she and Emma lived, and how they managed to survive years of hell to go on and lead successful adult lives. It took decades for Katie to summon the courage to speak up about the things that happened in that dark, unhappy home.
