The Perfect Gentleman

Originally published in 1860, this unique gentleman's etiquette manual, not intended for a lady, includes etiquette guidelines concerning social behavior, making and receiving introductions, how to dress, rules for special occasions, a gentleman's duties, etc. Unlike other etiquette books, it includes an extensive abundance of literary examples and guidelines to aid a gentleman on presentation of a speech to an audience or how to make a toast with numerous examples provided.

It is a valuable resource for living historians, reenactors and those who are interested in etiquette, social morays, and what expected of a man in order to be the 'perfect gentlemen' in the mid-19th century.
