Beskrivelse

A series of strange burglaries. The death of a provocative shop owner. The twisted plan that ties them together. PI Riley Sullivan is faced with the daunting task of clearing a young man who has been arrested for the crimes.

As Riley and her investigator partner, Cooper Deagnan, work to investigate the burglaries, they come to learn nothing has been stolen. There doesn't seem to be a reason why the break-ins were committed - until Riley latches onto one piece of evidence left behind. Even as the evidence explaining the burglaries unfolds, it doesn't reveal the killer.

Riley's husband, Det. Luke Morgan, is working to find that answer. But the life of the victim is sordid and the suspect list is long. Worst of all, the case brings Luke face-to-face with a man he arrested years earlier, and his singular focus might derail the investigation. Riley, Cooper and Luke must work together to uncover the plot before the killer slips away and the reason behind the burglaries is never revealed.
