The Muhammadan Drink

He is the Most Beloved. He is the wine of every lover's drink. In the heavens he is Ahmad and to the inhabitants of the earth, The Most Praised One; Muhammad (upon us be his peace and blessings). The Muhammadan Drink is a collection of 33 benedictions upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him and his family) composed as couplets by Saqibi Seif. The author's attempt to present an offering to the Beloved Messenger as a means to seeking a cure for his ailment brings the reader into oceans of empathy and grace. We are reminded through Imam Busiri's composition of The Mantle on the power of healing through invocations upon Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him and his family) as a means to cure.
