What 80-year-old woman in her right mind would want to leave her 3,100 sq. ft. home of seventeen years to downsize into a town-home, especially when that beautiful home was filled with priceless memories, art collections, and was situated on two wooded acres?

Maybe a woman who was tired of constant repairs, of deer who ate her flowers, of squirrels who carried off her apples, and neighbor chickens who pooped on her sidewalk. Hmmm.

So, in May, 2023, I woke up one morning and decided it was time. Just like that! No conversations with children. No "should I?" or "shouldn't I?" just a certainty that this was the right time to make the change.
