Zak, an electrical wire technician for the power company, is a striking man who usually keeps to himself and is described as "different" by his coworkers. One fateful night, Zak and his partner are desperately working to fix a power line that has been broken in a rare superstorm. A tragic act of nature occurs that changes Zak's life forever as he suddenly finds himself with unique high-powered abilities that he struggles to control.
