Beskrivelse
During the 1970s, Bernadine Stetzel and her husband Fred were quite active in local and state politics. When Senator John Glenn and his wife Annie campaigned in the Stetzel's home town in Ohio, Bernadine created a painting of this event and eventually presented it to the Glenns. The Senator and Annie not only became fans of her work, but a lasting friendship was born between them. Bernadine greatly admired both the Glenns. In particular she was inspired by Annie's personal challenges in overcoming her long-time stuttering, which compelled her to write "The Little Girl Who Stuttered" in hopes of sharing Annie's story with countless others who were facing challenges of their own.
