The Hill, '67

For all that is occurring on university campuses in the spring of 1967, it will be the dangerous march of events in the Middle East that leads to the Six Day War that forces Colorado University students Paul Garrity and Sarah Phillips to confront their beliefs and solidify their feelings in this non-traditional account of college life during those days. While The Hill, '67 takes place in Boulder, the setting could just as easily be any major university. "Novel" is restrictive since the book recounts events locally, nationally, and internationally with the accuracy of an historian. The Hill, '67 is not about wild-eyed radicals or druggies, but features warm, concerned students who are keenly aware and involved with the events of the day. It is a coming-of-age account of students whose educations are important, whose friendships are dear, and whose loves are passionate.
