The Hero of the Seventh Floor

Titico is a 12-year-old boy who is diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic tissue. When the doctors speak to his mother, they don't realize this will be a very different case. It is initially believed he will recover after eight cycles of chemotherapy. However, the mother's faith and her loving acceptance of the illness lead her to apply emotional intelligence with her son and within the family. She also incorporates some principles of psychoneuroimmunology and uses a few natural products that make a difference. As a result, Titico begins to thrive after just four sessions-not only physically, but emotionally as well.

In the story, cancer is personified as a being that enters their home, but only the positive aspects of its presence are acknowledged. The family thanks it for leaving soon, becoming more spiritually connected and united in the process.
